last night
May. 26th, 2008 02:43 pmWife and self left the kidlet with a babysitter and went to Henfling's Tavern in Felton to dance our respective asses off to the tuneage of the excellent Back to Nowhere.
At some point between songs, Willa bemusedly mentioned to me, "I think I just got felt up." Apparently some guy had reached out and caressed her neck. Then later, a woman came to the table where I was taking a breather and asked me to dance with her. Later still, she whispered to Willa: "You're the luckiest woman." Neither of these are what you'd call typical occurrences for us. I guess we both got hit with the pretty stick last night or something.
Anyway. A little while before we left, I glanced across the dance floor and saw something that seemed a little odd. I looked closer, and yes, I was right the first time: it really was a dwarf with a crutch dancing with another man.
I discreetly pointed him out to Willa, and said: "It's, um... possible that this may be a dream..."
(We compared notes this morning, however, and are agreed that it actually did happen.)
