Old lyrics

Several years ago, after Caldera took over SCO and became "The SCO Group" and got all up in the Linux community's face, I wrote this parody of a Thomas Dolby song, planning to make a video and pass it around. The video never happened, and I forgot about it until I found the file today, and thought--what the heck, I might as well do something with it. So here it is, blog fodder...

How I Invented the Universe, by Ben

It was infinity years ago, and there was nothing but a sky. And I was floating in it. And if I fell down, I would just keep falling. So I decided to make a hard surface, and put soft padding on it so I wouldn't get hurt. And then I decided to make a world, so I put some trees down first, and then I got a cement bucket and started building a road. It took a very long time, but gradually I made it. That was infinity years ago, but it was only a billion years ago that I cut down some trees to make houses. And then I met my friend, and she said her name was Miss Cloba Zeba, and we made a house together and it was blue and it's the same house we live in today.

I'm thinking we should get him some worshippers, and then maybe have a nice bloody religious war with the Pastafarians. Or a bowling tournament. One of those.
